1. Purpose
This document defines the assessment methodology for the AZ‑900 certification training programme. Learner progress is measured through milestone achievement, ensuring structured development and readiness for the official Microsoft exam.
2. Milestone‑Based Assessment Approach
Progress is tracked against predefined milestones rather than traditional formative or summative assessments.

- Selection Assessment
- Baseline knowledge is established.
- Milestone 2 (Weeks 3–4):
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud concepts and
- Azure core services.
- Milestone 3 (Weeks 5–6):
- Successful completion of labs on resource creation,
- Pricing, and
- SLA.
- Milestone 4 (Weeks 7–8):
- Applied security,
- Compliance, and
- Trust principles in Azure.
- Milestone 5 (Weeks 9–10):
- Integrated knowledge into case studies
- Scenario‑based exercises.
- Milestone 6 (Weeks 11–12):
- Certification readiness check
- Completion of practice exam and
- Review session.
3. Tools & Evidence
- Milestone Tracker:

This qualification is expanding the specialisations started at NQF level 4 into the core field of networking and support, with further specialisations into IT Support fields or in any other related vertical markets.
This qualification is designed to provide qualified candidates with an undergraduate entry into the field of networking /system support, earning credits towards tertiary offerings of the fields of computer.
Entry Requirements
- Foundational skills in communication and mathematical literacy at NQF level 4 or equivalent.
- Ability to use a personal computer competently.
